On 20 October, Prime Minister Jean Castex spoke of creating an "offence of endangering others by publishing personal data". This follows the circumstances of the murder of Samuel Paty, which was accompanied by a "doxing" of the teacher, a form of cyber-harassment consisting of revealing a person's personal data to the public for malicious purposes.
